P-chain handles all the Avalanche network’s utilities. P-chain monitors the creation of new subnets, consensus, and staking. Avalanche works on DPoS (Delegated-Proof-of-Stake) ecosystem.
Avalanche has Avalanche token or AVAX serving as a medium of transactions. Tokens built on Avalanche can represent equities, bonds, real estate, and even NFTs. There are a total of 720 million AVAX tokens.
