Kadena is a project built on the idea of how blockchain technology revolutionizes transactions. It was created by leaders in the emerging blockchain technology - Stuart Popejoy and Will Martino. Kuro is the layer 2 protocol of Kadena. It is a permissioned, high-performance blockchain. It can process 8000 transactions per second across 500 nodes, with near-instant finality.
Kadena's smart contracts are written in Pact. It is a Turing Incomplete language, which was purpose-built for blockchains with strong security. Pact allows for the creation of safer smart contracts effortlessly. The language is readable even by non-developers. It also features automatic bug detection and it has been tested in several years of usage application.
KDA is a digital asset native to the Kadena chain. It is used to compensate miners for block mining. It is also used to pay transaction fees on the network. The total supply of KDA is fixed at 1 billion tokens.
