Maiar DEX

Maiar is a decentralized exchange automated market maker, running on the Elrond network. It was created by the same team that built the Elrond network and is sometimes referred to as its official DEX. Maiar is very easy to use and quick to set up. Since the Maiar exchange runs on the Elrond blockchain it benefits from the chain's state sharding system.

Like with other decentralized exchanges, when users provide liquidity on Maiar, they receive LP tokens. On Maiar, however, these tokens are tradeable. This gives unique opportunities to Maiar users. They may provide liquidity, then sell their position, or take a loan against it (use LP tokens as collateral). This is possible thanks to Elrond's standard digital token architecture.

Maiar exchange also features the Maiar App. It allows users to create a secure wallet using just their phone number. The number is securely hashed and used just once, during the creation of the wallet. The app allows users to easily sign transactions made on the Maiar DEX.

On Maiar DEX users can swap their tokens on any of the existing pools. They can also choose to provide liquidity to these pools. If they choose to do so, they will be earning a share of the pool's trading fees. If users decide to provide liquidity with their LP tokens, they will also receive rewards in the form of MEX tokens.

MEX is the native token of Maiar DEX. It is used to pay for fees on the platform. In the future it will also be used for Maiar's governance. The main goal of MEX is to provide an incentive for farmers and liquidity providers. Maiar farmers may choose to lock their MEX in order to earn double APR. When they do so, they receive a locked version of MEX, called LKMEX tokens. They have the same value as MEX tokens and come with their own utility. LKMEX can be used to add liquidity to MEX pools and can be staked on MEX farms. Created LKMEX tokens have different unlocking periods. To simplify the process LKMEX tokens are often merged together without changing their amount or unlocking date.
